What “through Generation 2” means
This guide assumes a kingdom has access to heroes from Generation 1 through Generation 2. It compares every available hero rather than ranking only the newest release.
The ranking balances trusted Conquest performance, stage ceiling, underpowered overperformance, raw stats, utility, position versatility, generation scaling, and role replacement. Arena remains a preliminary projection.

Older heroes still worth using
Newer generations usually win the raw-stat comparison, but some older heroes remain relevant because their evidence and role are difficult to replace immediately.

- Replace only when the new hero is developed enough to survive the intended position.
- Check whether the replacement preserves essential utility.
- Use Arena’s three-to-four-generation practical window as a guide, not a hard cutoff.
- Keep proven specialists when the new hero does not perform the same job.
- Test the exact formation before moving gear or investment permanently.
Conquest conclusions use the current raw Conquest Lab dataset. Arena conclusions are preliminary projections unless a section explicitly says otherwise. Exact private rows, lineups, powers, and ratios are not published.
